Concern over the mortality rate of Covid-19 increased on television news in early April, though began to fade by early May. The George Floyd protests largely eliminated such mentions, though as they’ve returned, they remain below their pre-protest levels and aren’t tracking the increases in infections and deaths that have slowed the national reopening.
