Television News Losing Interest In Women's March
The aftermath of Donald Trump’s election saw the birth of both the Women’s March and #MeToo as a rallying cry against male sexual harassment and assault.
Despite considerable initial enthusiasm, the Women’s March has dropped off the media radar, all but disappearing by February 2019. Since November 2016, Fox News has mentioned it the most, followed closely by MSNBC, while CNN has covered just over half as often as its peers, using data from the Internet Archive's Television News Archive processed by the GDELT Project.
The timeline below shows the number of mentions of the March by month since October 2016.
Follow along with the latest numbers or deep dive on how television news is covering the #MeToo movement since the Tara Reade allegations.
